Java/j2ee Developer

Amigo Software is looking for a Java/J2EE Senior Developer with a 4+ years’ experience in building secure, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. The roles and responsibilities include managing enterprise application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept, design, and implementation to product delivery. Potential involvement with projects dealing with Enterprise Application integration (EAI) and smart BPM. 
  
Responsibilities 
  
• Experience of defining system architectures and designs, exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs, and making data-driven decisions 
• Write effective and well-tested reliable Java code according to business and technical requirements 
• Design and implement automated unit and integration testing frameworks 
• Evaluate and adopt new development tools, libraries and approaches to improve speed and quality of deliverables 
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review 
• Work in tight cooperation with the global enterprise development team in a fast-paced agile environment. 
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users 
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality 
  
Required Skill Set 
  
• Experience in Core Java 8, JDBC, MVC/Hibernate, J2EE Design Patterns 
• Software Architecture, Design and Development (JNDI, Java Mail API, Java Sockets, Multithreading) 
• Experience of integration with 3rd party API data sources using web-services and REST API (JAX-RS) 
• Open-Source libraries (Log4J, POI, Jakarta Commons & Apache Oltu) 
• Competence and comfort using Java Spring framework including Spring boot, Spring REST, and service develop services layer using Spring MVC. 
• Working experience with Tomcat and JBoss application servers 
• Experience with Junit and Test-driven Development 


• Knowledge of Microservices, message brokers/queues (RabbitMQ, Artemis MQ), and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) implementations 
• Strong database access and design skills in relational databases like (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres) 
• Expertise in Test driven development (Junit, JMeter), Continuous Integration (Jenkins), Build tool (Maven) and Version Control (Git), Development tools (Eclipse, IntelliJ) 
• Experience with managing, building, and deploying code through tools including Eclipse, GIT, Gradle, Docker, and Jenkins 
• Experience of building middle-tier services that integrate with various external systems and vendors with enterprise middleware technologies and different standardized communication protocols 
• Knowledge of Information and application security including LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, SSH, access credentials, etc.
