Most of GH2's excipients are 100% imported in Pakistan and constitute an annual import bill of $40 million with no local competitor besides very large export potential to a wide range of regional countries. In addition, the byproducts from GH2's manufacturing complex have diverse applications in water treatment and the FMCG sectors. GH2's sponsors are well-positioned to execute this venture as the pharma excipients are plant-based and power-intensive to produce. The sponsors have hands-on experience of setting up and operating power projects of 200 MW as well as complicated agri supply chains spanning multiple crops and districts of Pakistan.
